About Wendy Glass

Wendy, affiliate consultant with Fortify Leadership Group, is a human resources leader with over 16 years of experience helping organizations reach their full potential through their most valuable resource: people. She has held leadership positions with HCA Healthcare, a Fortune 500 company, Carilion Clinic and spent several years working in higher education. She is viewed by her clients as a trusted advisor, using her extensive background in human resources, leadership development, organizational design, talent acquisition and coaching to drive business results. 

In her previous role as Market Vice President, HR for HCA Healthcare, Wendy led the human resources strategy for LewisGale Regional Health System, a system with over 2,500 colleagues. She and her HR team provided coaching and support to the Market President & CEO. In her various HR roles at HCA at facilities in Florida, South Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky and Virginia, she served as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant to senior leaders. She participated on a team that restructured the HCA Healthcare’s HR organization, harmonized human resources support across the entire company, and led the launch of the new human resources model for a system with over 250,000 colleagues across the United States and England. 

Wendy served as an HR Consultant for Carilion Clinic, supporting two hospitals in their talent acquisition and employee experience initiatives. Wendy held roles at Virginia Tech in University, working to support fundraising efforts for the university and working in the department responsible for all communication across the university. 

Wendy holds a master’s degree in Management & Leadership from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in Leadership & Organizational Development from Bluefield College. She is a certified Senior Consulting Professional with Society for Human Resources Management and a certified Senior Professional Human Resources with Human Resources Certification Institute. Wendy has also served on various community boards, including the Workforce Development Board for the Lowcountry of SC and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors 

Wendy is based in Christiansburg, VA and enjoys spending time with her family. She admits that fall is one of her favorite seasons because it is the start of the College Football season.
