About Carolina DeWell

Carolina DeWell is an executive and life coach with over 18 years of experience in helping individuals and organizations reach their fullest potential. She has held leadership positions in Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, DIRECTV, Amerigroup and Genworth Financial. Her extensive background in Human Resources, Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, and Life Coaching has afforded her the opportunity to be a trusted advisor to clients around the world. 

Prior to starting Carolina DeWell Coaching, LLC, a boutique coaching firm providing executive and life coaching primarily for high-achieving women, Carolina served as AVP, Human Resources at AT&T based in New York, NY. In that role, Carolina was responsible for leading Human Resources for the DIRECTV Latin America business within AT&T. She played an instrumental role in designing and executing the merger strategy. She partnered heavily with DIRECTV Latin America business leaders to design future organizational structures and get the right talent in the right rolesfor the newly merged business.

In her previous role as Director, Talent Management for DIRECTV Latin America, she led a multi-national team to drive Talent Management efforts across DIRECTV Latin America. She was a trusted advisor to the President of DIRECTV Latin America and was instrumental in establishing and facilitating strategic planning meetings and cultural definition sessions that served to align, define and communicate the strategy and culture of the company.       

Prior to joining DIRECTV, Carolina served in leadership roles in Organizational Development and Talent Acquisition at Amerigroup Corporation, a health insurance company in Virginia Beach, VA. Before joining Amerigroup, Carolina held several Training and Organizational Development roles at Genworth Financial in both Richmond, VA and Sydney, Australia. Prior to that, she spent several years with Psychological Consultants, Inc. in Richmond, VA, a boutique firm that specialized in assessing management talent for the pharmaceutical industry.

Carolina holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in Resource Management from Virginia Tech. She is certified in the DISC Profile, Zenger-Folkman 360 assessment, Predictive Index Profile, and Situational Leadership II.

Carolina is based in Richmond, VA and enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her life-long passion for dance and live music.
